For some reason over the last few months, many of my friends
have decided that it’s time to get their “first ink”, leaving me questioning
why on Earth they would want to have something permanently marked on their
skin.
People get quotes that “sum up their life” tattooed over
their back, or images of eagles plastered over their arms. Really? You’re still
in your teens and you have a quote that sums up your life? Let’s be realistic,
in a few years’ time you’ll regret getting those tattoos, because what does
having them really symbolise? It doesn’t mean anything and you probably only
got it because that’s what your friends were doing.
So, if you’re considering getting a tattoo, I would advise
you to consider it carefully and think about where you’ll be and what you’ll be
doing in a few years’ time and if that quote and that image will mean anything
to you then, or will it just be something you regret?
