Executives see it as a true reflection,
Of combined efforts and continual progression.
It might show profit, it might show loss,
But he who’s accountable must be the boss.
We talk of revenue, we talk of capital,
But what matters most must be the people.
Those within and those without,
Perhaps that’s what business is all about.
But after profit and after people,
There is something else that makes it total.
Something on which we all depend,
Our marvellous planet, which we must defend.
To bring all together must be the goal,
A formidable combination which makes a business whole.
A stage on which competition is fought,
People unite and profit the reward.
